Welcome to Extreme Bulgaria!

What is Extreme Bulgaria? Your Ultimate Gateway to Unforgettable Adventures
To truly understand Extreme Bulgaria, you first have to meet the visionary behind it: Atanas Koev.

Atanas is not your average travel guide. He is a former jet fighter pilot, an expert tandem paraglider pilot, a seasoned mountain climber, a skilled whitewater kayaker, a licensed skydiver, an ATV/buggy instructor, an experienced speleologist, and an off-road navigator. But beyond his impressive credentials in extreme sports in Bulgaria, Atanas is a warm, peace-loving father of three who is endlessly passionate about the breathtaking beauty of the Bulgarian countryside.
Driven by a lifelong desire to share these hidden natural treasures with thrill-seekers from around the globe, Atanas turned his ultimate dream into reality. That dream is Extreme Bulgaria—a premier adventure hub dedicated to creating life-changing outdoor activities in Bulgaria.

Why Choose Our One-Week Tour Packages?
100% Customized Experience: We design every itinerary individually, tailoring the difficulty and pace to your personal preferences, physical capability, and seasonal weather conditions.

Complete Immersion in Nature: Experience the magical landscapes of Bulgaria—from majestic mountain peaks and rushing rivers to deep caves and scenic valleys.
Escape to the Countryside: Ivan Vazovo Village Base Camp
For travelers who love authentic rural life, Atanas and his family welcome guests to their home base in Ivan Vazovo Village, located conveniently near the historic city of Plovdiv.
Stepping away from noisy, crowded urban centers, you can slow down and discover the genuine perks of Bulgarian village life:
Hands-on Rural Experiences: Try your hand at traditional beekeeping, organic farming, and sustainable countryside living.
Horseback Riding & Nature Walks: Explore the peaceful surrounding meadows, pine forests, and rolling hills on horseback or on foot.
Warm Hospitality & Local Cuisine: Enjoy home-cooked meals made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients in a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere.
Meet Our Expert Squad: Safety, Passion, and True Friendship
While it all started with Atanas’s vision, Extreme Bulgaria is far more than a one-man operation. Over the years, Atanas has assembled a top-tier team of certified instructors, drivers, and safety guides who share his passion for the outdoors.
What Sets Our Team Apart?
Uncompromised Safety & Professionalism: Every team member is highly trained, disciplined, and deeply experienced in their respective discipline.
Personalized Approach: We keep group sizes intimate so every guest receives one-on-one attention, instruction, and guidance.
Great Humor & Welcoming Vibe: We believe that serious safety standards don't mean you can't have fun. Our guides bring boundless energy, local knowledge, and good humor to every single trip.
When you travel with Extreme Bulgaria, you don't just book a tour or purchase an extreme sports gift voucher—you join an adventurer family. We guarantee world-class safety, spectacular landscapes, and friendships that last long after your journey ends!
