  What is Extreme Bulgaria? In order to answer that, we will first have to take a look at another question: Who is Atanas Koev? Atanas Koev is a jet fighter and paraglider pilot, an experienced climber and hiker, a skilled kayaker, skydiver, ATV instructor, travel guide, speleologist and off-road navigator. He is also a happy peace-loving person who can’t get enough of the beauty of the Bulgarian countryside and father of three lovely children whose lives must be full of exciting adventures and fun. But above all he is a man who has managed to turn his dream into reality. That dream is called Extreme Bulgaria.

Cover Your Ass - The assurance provides protection against things going wrong

  Whether you’re paragliding in the Bulgaria, scuba diving in the Black Sea, mountain biking in beautiful Bulgarian mountains or having some other extreme sport activity, you ought to have extreme sports insurance, which is just the ticket for adventurous types.

  If you want to have a go at things like white water rafting, bungee jumping or rock climbing, you must to know that these are activities that will not be covered by your typical travel insurance.

  No matter what your standard of natural sporting ability, accidents do happen even to the most able or experienced. We offer insurance for groups on activity holidays and it could save you some money as well, rather than splashing out for individual policies.

    I booked a day of activities with Nasko for a group of seven of us centred around exploring the local hills and countryside on quad bikes.

    This turned into one of the most fun things I have ever done.

    After some training and an introduction to the machines, you are trusted to be able to control the bike and to be able to traverse the terrain behind Nasko in his Jeep. The relaxed attitude (but still with proper preparation and training) and freedom is what really makes this, along with the stunning setting. We were able to travel as quickly as we liked (fast or slow) and to do things as we wished.

    The area truly is beautiful (this was early August) and Nasko is knowledgeable so as to be able to answer any questions and give his introduction to the land and the people. He will share his experiences and philosophies during stops and is a fascinating individual.

    Truly a memorable and wonderful experience which is very highly recommended. Easily accessed from Sofia and more than worth the 1h30m drive. Do it!
